I just picked up my Hi Point Carbine (9mm) yesterday. Since I planned to take it to the range today I loaded up my two new mags as soon as I got home. They were pretty hard to load so I was wondering if anybody else had that problem? It took me a couple minutes to load them with quite a bit of force just to get the first round started and each one after has to be pressed pretty hard to get them to set in.
They were new in the package and with no apparent damage. I'm a little concerned about messing with them too much but if they need a little tweeking I'm good with that. Could it be that they need to be opened up a little at the top? I know it's hard to give advice without actually loading one yourself but thought I'd ask.
