Pulling the trigger

Ok, I am about to pull the trigger on a Yankee Hill Upper in 556. Before I do, I thought I would ask the all knowing CG AR guys what their thoughts are.

Ok, I bought it. 2nd day UPS so I am excited! Don't even get to pick up my Calguns lower until the 5th! Now I'm on a mission to find a LPK and a stock and tube. Suggestions very welcome as this is my first build

Get one of PSA's complete lower kits. I have 2 and they are good quality.

They have lots of other build kits for Magpul MOE, CTR, STR. more expensive but you can get colors. Just browse around their lower parts selection

haha yea they take up to 2 weeks to ship, but its free shipping right now. Not like the world in gonna end in about 20 days or anything...

You just gotta put that out there with the "good deal" info as well....so the man knows what he is getting into...

The slow shipping doesn't happen to EVERYONE, our PSA Middy upper came on time as advised per their site earlier this year.

Seems to me if someone is patient and knows what to expect they're pretty damn happy with PSA. We are.

2013? A whole 4 weeks away OH NO!

Key phrase - "Know what to expect." See where I said that above? No one said it before me, so I felt it was my responsibility to do so. To recommend PSA without saying that it's gonna be a while is irresponsible IMO.

They're damn slow much more often than they are on time. And you know it's gonna be even slower when they say "It's gonna be slow" on the front page of their site, like they do now.

And you better hope they get it right. I waited 3 weeks for a LPK and....guess what? It arrived defective. So now it's gonna be nearly two months before I have what I need for my build. Not so great - again, IME (experience, better than opinion).

To be fair, PSA does have a huge red warning that shipping times may be longer due to election/holidays

I am trying to get this assembled and ready to fire before my daughter and her hubby get here for Christmas. She loves to shoot. If they take a while I may order from someone else that I can get it from asap. Even if I can't get it in the options I want. Ill just get the one I want later lol!
