Another mini 30 question

So what's a good magnification for a mini 30? How much is too much? 3-9x, 4-16x, 6-24x?

The Mini being a nice all-purpose ranch rifle seems to work well, IMO, with a lower-power fixed scope; I may be a bit biased as I run a Weaver K3 on mine. Provides a nice magnification while still allowing for good field of view, simple rugged design like the Mini, and doesnt add too much bulk to the rifle.
