I got this mag lock from "Ryan in SD" very competitively priced to other mag locks.($30) It is heavy duty and very solid. It is made of machined aluminum and is attached with 2 small Allen screws. The threaded backing plate is steel so it won't strip out.*
You can see in my pics that mine is pretty scratched up. I have tried it about a hundred times with several different magazines. It is very easy to manipulate. Also has slots on the side which I used a flat head screw driver to release the mag, also used a pocket knife (not safe).
I personally think it looks great (as great as a mag lock can look) and I will be purchasing more for some other builds.*
There is no way you can release the magazine by hand using this lock, it would also damage your trigger guard before you could bend or pry it off. *Another great product from Ryan in SD
