    Flash hiding compensators

I'm looking for a compensator that doesn't increase flash signature (that much) over an a2. I've seen night shoot videos of the battlecomp and that's too much flash for me. I'm mainly worried about flash from the shooter's point of view and flash and concussion to the sides. I understand I have to sacrifice flash hiding capabilities for comp/muzzle braking, but I want something a little more geared towards flash hiding than the battlecomp. Has anyone had any experience with the griffin flash comp? Or the pws fsc556?

    Thanks.

imho: Sound a lot like what the BCM Comp/FH was made to do:

    BCMGUNFIGHTER Compensator MOD 0 - 5.56
The Mod 0 compensator (5.56) was designed for tactical applications to reduce muzzle rise, noise, and lateral pressure.

    Have a great one

Bcm is going to have a lot more flash than a A2 still.

I feel like the battlecomp is a comp that also mildly suppresses flash, whereas I'm looking for a flash hider that mildly compensates. If that makes any sense.

Check out the yhm phantom 5c2. It's more of a flashhider a compensating capabilities. Plus it's not going to cost you an arm and leg. I see it between $25 and $35.

What about the ammo, some have less flame then others. I believe Hornady tactical ammo is low flame, I am sure there are others.

AAC has a combination brake/flash hider. As you said, it is a compromise so it will be not great at either.

                    Look up the AAC brakeout.

I've seen all five of those videos already. They don't have a few muzzle devices that I was looking at. I won't have a choice of ammo since this will be going on a service rifle. I've looked at the 5c2 and 5c1 but I've read that there is no advantage in any aspect when compared to an a2. Anyone experience otherwise?

I took a course with a Friend & we shot at Sunset OUTDOORS, & in the Dark. I used a AAC Flash Hider, on my Noveske, my Buddy was 10 feet away, he used a Battlecomp. Same Ammo Federal (LC) M193 55 gr. My AAC had almost no Flash, Battlecomp (10 feet from me) had a bit more, but not much & not enough to Blind or affect a Follow up shot. I have a Battlecomp on another AR.

One things for sure...What I saw in Video & on the `Net isnt quite the same in person. Minimal Flash & nothing Like an A2 Style. Always tough to make a Comp/Hider decision. I`d recommend leaning toward one or the Other...

I should say in my Limited (in the dark) experience, the Flash I saw MAY affect Follow up shots, but NOTHING like I`ve heard on the `Net, not even close.

                              A working gun?

Are you allowed to get a suppressor?

If not get a FH learn to drive the gun that's my thoughts YMMV.
