    7.62 muzzle brake

Looking around for a muzzle brake for my 7.62x39 ar pistol. Anyone have any links to a short 7.62 brake in 1/2-28 threads. I haven't found many options. thanks

I assume the battlecomp would work? It does very well for .308.

Does this have std 1/2 28 threads? I made one for a fellow Cgr for x39 that was threaded 1/2 28

Someone told me that the standard A2 lash hiders have a clear-through hole of 0.375" or more as they come so there it would work w/ a 7.62 round? Is this true?

Power Custom AK 47 pistol brake with x26 threading:

I have one on a 7.62X39 AR upper, it works fine.

Actually, for the money I like that "Damage" $19.00 brake just as well.

The damage one doesnt come in the 1/2x28 in 7.62. The 5.56 one has that thread. U think i could just drill it out??

Me too, but it doesn't come in 1/2 28 in 7.62

The threads on a 308 will likely not be 1/2x28. More likely 5/8x24

I believe one reason is so that people don't go screwing 223 brakes/hiders onto 7.62 caliber barrels.

This is true however in my case it is 1/2x28. Don't think they make them in 5/8x24 for idiot proofing however, its more because the threading gets thin at 1/2" so 5/8" is preferable for strength.

Actually, the clearance hole on an A2 should be 10mm which is 0.394" in English speaking countries.
It's big enough for 9mm without having to be opened up.
