Looking around for a muzzle brake for my 7.62x39 ar pistol. Anyone have any links to a short 7.62 brake in 1/2-28 threads. I haven't found many options. thanks

The damage one doesnt come in the 1/2x28 in 7.62. The 5.56 one has that thread. U think i could just drill it out??

The threads on a 308 will likely not be 1/2x28. More likely 5/8x24
I believe one reason is so that people don't go screwing 223 brakes/hiders onto 7.62 caliber barrels.Comment

This is true however in my case it is 1/2x28. Don't think they make them in 5/8x24 for idiot proofing however, its more because the threading gets thin at 1/2" so 5/8" is preferable for strength.Comment

Actually, the clearance hole on an A2 should be 10mm which is 0.394" in English speaking countries.
It's big enough for 9mm without having to be opened up.Randall Rausch
