I've very well versed in security laws. Only security guards who get "access to high caps" are armored car personal as there employer is exempt with proper licensing. I've also worked gigs where firearms with high caps are provided. Since an agent of the company is always there is not considered a loan.

I guess the OP's question is really as to whether there's some workable exemption whereby one could obtain a guard classification for the sole purpose of legally purchasing regular-capacity magazines (since you can already own them).

It would appear that this would not be a workable approach unless you go so far as to start up, like, an armored truck company - is this basically what people are saying?

A rent a cop can have more power than a LEO in certain circumstances. A LEO is just that. A rent a cop has the same authority as the land owner. At one point, I worked in house security at a private property i lived on. I did not need a gaurd card and could carry exposed or concealed. I had all the rights and responsibilities as the absentee landowner had.

One advantage I could see about working as a security guard is that it's probably easier to present a case to get a LTC, due to the nature of your job. So, you know that's pretty darn good!

Gecko45 was in action eleven years ago, and I think Blart did a fine job.

Probably time for anyone not familiar to search for Gecko45, and there may be many.

He was responding to CSA's post about carrying while on private property. You can have a pistol loaded and strapped to you all day in the privacy of your home.

I won't get into the legalities of a hired gun having the same rights as the titled property owner.
