There are plenty of forums dedicated to both the barbiegun and the precision rifle. I always look to Calguns for more California specific issues. Since bolt rifles aren't really regulated in California any differently then any other state, there isn't too much of a point to discuss them here other then to talk about upcoming shoots and friendly conversation about the weapons.

It would serve a pupose for those who do not care for what you have replied with and have to shift through just to find something of their interest or of the everyday same ol same ol...
There is a section for Rimfire as well as Curio/Blackpowder and also Shotguns, Bolt guns should have there own as well.

I can't answer for CGN but for me, I learn a little more being exposed to all of the long arm discussions in one group. I'm an AR type guy but find good information with the other users. You can always use the filter/search to get more specific I guess. I like the all-in-one category.Comment

Splitting AK/AR/FAL type rifles from other rifles only enforces the anti's goal of banning such rifles.
If bolt guns get their own section, then striker-fired pistols will need their own section, DAO pistols will need their own section, SAO, revolvers, separate sections for pump and semi auto shotguns, etc.There is no justification for the public servant police to be more heavily armed than the law-abiding public they serve...Unless...the government's intention is to be more powerful than the people.Comment
