Micro Slick'd BCG

Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that I just got my BCG and Bolt back from B & E Coatings. I haven't shot with it yet, but I just wanted to let you all know it looks fantastic. The coating is even and smooth, no blemishes at all. Im excited to see how she shoots!

P.S. I am going to use this BCG in conjunction with CLP or another grease/lubricant. The primary reason I had my BCG Micro Slicked was for ease of cleaning and because I wanted a more durable finish.

Hmmm, interesting. Any documentation on the Microslick coating from NIC Industries versus the EXO technology from UCT (FailZero etc etc)

Not a fan of micro slick. Its nice and smooth but it wears off too easily. I have 2 Surgeon bolts micro slicked and its pretty much wore off both bolts in less then 1000 cycles.

By wearing off, are you saying it is now rough or the color indicator is now gone at the high friction points?

The reason why I ask, if it was worn off/gone away, the metal would feel like sand paper as it should have been blasted/etched/prepared by blasting with 120 grit aluminium oxide before coating to create an aggressive tooth you could feel.

It is normal for the color indicator to wear off as it is only an indicator or the applicator to see where he/she has applied the Micro Slick.

I find this hard to believe since it used on pistons and other high friction engine parts.

wow! was it definitely cerakote microslick?

i got mine done for 25 bucks through B and E on their november sale. so far, i have put around 600 rounds down the pipe and the coating looks just like the day i got it in the mail. i will post pics when i get home if i can, i need to clean my rifle anyway. not sure if its important but the microslick i have is a gunmetal gray.
