    Rust remover, removed blueing

Got a Type 53 that was in rough shape. Had a few rust spots here and there. Pick up a rust remover that stops the rust. I read it would remove the blueing. But now what? what can i put on the reciver to cover it? I going to bubba the rifle, just wondering what would be good to coat it

I was thinking rustolium but not sure how it would hold up from the heat from receiver. but i guess i could just touch it up every so often. That's why i asked here to see if any one else tried this

rustoleum makes a high temp version, i used it on a house heater cover and that got hotter and had more expansion and contraction than i think a gun would ever have.

Shop gunsmithing tools (587) at Brownells, including bench blocks, hammer & punch sets, screwdrivers, and tool kits for firearm maintenance and repairs.

I've used this with decent results.
