    Pmag question or two

Hey all. Just wondering if anyone else has issues getting the impact cover on when loaded with 10 rounds? I have a 10/30 that does it and a new 10/20. They were purchased already pinned/blocked and new. Also both were purchased different times from different vendors.

I also notice the 10/20 is having an issue getting the 10th round in. VERY tight fit. I know I could just keep 9 in either mag when storing but would prefer not to. I Google'd until I could Google no more but couldn't seem to find much. Am I missing something? Also, the 10/20 issue with holding 10... anyone else? I don't feel all that confident putting that last round in and it definitely is rough getting the round out of the magazine as well. The covers aren't a hug deal but would like them to fit. I am used to 10/30 metal.

Sorry if this has been covered already.

I just picked up a couple 10/20 and I had no issues getting the impact cover on. I did have an issue getting the 10th round in and noticed the bottom of the plate where it is labeled "10 round" was off center. I took all the ammo out and used a small pen to center it again. After that the last round went in about the same as the 9th.

Just curious to why you want to use it, I could never see any benefit in it, unless you plan on flying commercial somewhere.

        For storage mainly.

The 30 has a rivet and epoxied and the 20 has block/pin

The bottom of the follower might be getting caught up on the top of the block. Tapping the mag on something hard a few times while loading had fix that same issue with mine.
If I ever refer to BCM as BMC, its a slip as I often think of BMC when I'm thinking BCM lol. BMC, as in Bicycle Manufacturing Company.

I am not a fan of the pinned ones. They are unreliable to how many rounds you can put in them. When I order more I will try the blocked ones. Hopefully they are more reliable

I will try tapping etc. and see if that helps. Wasn't sure if this was common.

I tapped all sides of the upper parts of the mag when I had around 3-5 rounds in it (figured the extra compression on the spring might help), and at one point I heard a loud pop where the follower popped into place. The 10th rounds went in easily.

Tried all suggestions and didn't seem to help. Bummer.
