Hey everyone, I am about to buy the tapco G2 trigger for my saiga. I am on Carolinas shooters supply and its offering me two different versions. The double hook G2 and the single hook G2. Can anyone explain the benefits and drawbacks of each? I assume they both work and they are also the same price. Thanks for the help.

Look at the trigger opening of your reciever it looks like it has the rectangle with the cut/cuts out one side towards the front. If it is only one cut out on the top right of the trigger opening with the bottom facing you muzzle up, then it is a single hook trigger assembly. If it has cut out at the top on both sides/ completely symmetrical on the trigger opening, then get the two hook trigger. Functionally, they pretty much all work about the sameLast edited by Cheezle56; 11-09-2012, 3:43 PM.If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun. America in particular have done exceptionally well taking care of the problem, as there are 1.12 guns for every 1 American citizen. So throw a rock, you'll probably hit a gun, pick up that gun, then shoot a zombie. -
Most saigas are built to accommodate a single hook design. I dont know of anyone personally that had bothered to convert their saiga to accept the double hook design. As far as I know, the advantages of the double hook are mainly in reliability. The disadvantages are that you will have a slightly heavier trigger pull and will need to modify your rifle. Hope this helps.Comment

Very helpful, thank you both. So it seems like my saiga should have a single hook trigger, but its possible to have the double hook. I'll have to check before I order to be sure. Thanks again guys.Comment
