I got one, put several thousand rounds through it, used lube till I ran out. Never had a single malfunction. It is definetly nicer than a parked, I'd only use a chrome'd or nickel'd.

I built my first few ARs with them, and my current LWRC AR-15 comes factory with their carrier coated by FailZero. I'm spoiled by them and I run them almost exclusively given the chance. You have the ability to run the weapon dry or dryer if you need to. The parts clean up much much easier, on top of that the silver finish allows you to see whats dirty a little easier.

The thread about one failing very early on was a WMD brand carrier, it's unknown who's carriers and bolts they coat but Failzero gets theirs from a Gov. Contractor who makes them to spec.

Personally I love NiB BCGs. Easy to clean and looks awesome! If you have the means then give them a shot. All about personal preference and enjoying your AR.

As for the broken Fail Zero thread, it could happen to any company. All the top reputable companies could make an error. Nobody is perfect. However, the odds you'll get a dud are slim to none when you go with the top names.
