i'm looking for a muzzle break for my browning a bolt varmint suppressor ready and the specs for the threads are 5/8 - 24 (2a) i know what the size and thread call out are but what dose the (2a) stand for i have never seen that and want to clarify before i buy something thanks

This is a common thread type for the LR308 rifle line. My 300 BLK, 6.5 grendel uses the same threads.

Want a compensator that can help cut recoil, give Jerry Miculek Compensator 3 port a try. I have them on all my ARs and they reduce recoil amost 35% to 50%..
Note: Just remember if you shoot with this JM Comp. You may want the folks to your right and left to move back about 10 feet, this baby shoots gases our loud and strong t the left and right... but it works like a charm.... Good luck.Comment
