I agree get a bat bag. Most are 36" long. If you do a search....example........37 inch rifle bag your more likely to find a real nice bag for about 25 bucks. Better to be discrete when taking the rifle out. Unless you have a 37 in rifle. Then you'll need to be picky. I had to order mine from Amazon. But if I had 36 incher I would go baseball bat bag.

I use this, was 56 bucks on amazon... I really like it... has room for a ton of things as well as 2 rifles, handgun and tons of mags. Hi All,

So I've owned and bought many handguns, but this will be my first AR purchase. I'm buying from a fellow Calgunner here, an AR with LMT lower & BCM upper. This purchase does NOT include a case or bag.

I'm assuming after the DROS tonight & in 10 days, I can't just walk out of Fowlers holding an AR. So I'll need to take it home in a case or a bag. He said he has a Voodoo 36" case that he had this AR in, he wanted to sell it to me for an additional $100. I'm not ready to spend that much on a case.

Anyways, so here's my question for you experts. What's the most bang for the buck/yet functional (best value) case or bag for an AR that I should pick up. Just keep in mind I didn't want to spend $100 for the seller's Voodoo 36", so let's keep it cheaper than that. Any online recommendations. I guess worst case, I can just pick one up at Fowlers where we're doing the PPT when I pick it up in 10 days...

Any suggestions or recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks!

Bat bag, hockey bag or some sports bag. I break my AR down and wrap it in a towel then take it to the range.

I bought one from wal-mart that wasn't bad at all, $25. Then I saw that Midway had a zombie bag for the same price, so I returned to wal-mart and ordered the zombie bag. Looks cool, but does draw a little attention

Congrats on your bag, just be sure it's locked up if you drive anywhere near a school. GFSZ is a PITA, but better to be safe than sorry.
