    AR-15 Replacement Trigger?

I am looking into the POSSIBILITY of replacing the trigger on my M&P-15. Has anyone got any experience with the Rock River Two Stage Match trigger? And my second question would be, is it even worth it over the standard trigger?

Some have said iirc that the RRA two stage wears out. I have a gieselle and haven't regretted it

Look at the ALG triggers. They are not pricy but not adjustable but really nice and smooth.

I will probably only shoot maybe 1000-2000 rounds per year out of the AR, how many rounds do they wear out after?

I have both Geissele and RRA two-stage triggers and the difference between a GI trigger and a RRA is night and day with the RRA much-much better than GI. That said the difference between the RRA and a Geissele SSA trigger is just as night and day with the Geissele a huge improvement over the RRA.

The RRA doesn't wear out right away unless you try to polish it. Like a GI trigger the RRA is case hardened and any polishing exposes the soft inner material to very premature wear. From what I've read the wear on a RRA manifests itself with a sudden change from two-stage to single stage and bang when you weren't expecting one.

Here's a comparison of popular triggers. Note that the Geissele DMR trigger tested is adjustable while the more affordable SSA is not. I own both Geisseles and like both.

I have rra 2 stage in most of my rifles, but I will be switching them over. I really like the geissele (sp) ssa trigger. I would like to try a timney as well.

I have 6 RRA two stage riggers along with tons of other ARs with timmney, geiselle, LMT etc triggers

I think the RRA is the best bang for your buck, one of my rra's has upwards of 10k rounds, not worn out yet

Geissele SSA 2-stage trigger was no comparison over stock!!! I did not respect and underestimated the value of a good triger before my 1911, Then I built my LR308 and now want to go back and do them on many of my arms.

I shot two diffrent AR rifles with diffrent (unknown to me but not Geissele) "stage2/3" triggers. Since I have shot two more Geissele triggers, to me they outshine the others quite a bit.

I just put an SSA in my M&P 15T. It will cut your group size in half or more over the stock trigger.

Dont overlook the SD-C either, one of my target rifles will have the SD-C and a SD-E. also I like the non adjustable platform and simple instulation.

i have a geissele ssa-e on one of my ar's and i love it compared to another trigger set up i have which is a spikes battle trigger with jp yellow springs which replaced the poly trigger from the nfa lower. i havent tried any other set up so my opinion is kinda biased

I'd get a Geissele SSA (Regular old standard one, no dash anything) or a Compass Lake Engineering 2 stage that they tune. Its an amazing trigger for the money and adjustable for weight.

If you just want a good cheap upgrade, grab an ALG QMS trigger and you'll be happy you did. They break super clean, a little creep but it is leaps and bounds better than any factory trigger I've felt that was a single stage mil-spec.

Std trigger, trigger tune is only $50 and takes 20 min while you watch and learn to pull a crisp 3lbs.

Geisseles aren't cheap, they're truly the gold standard of AR-15 triggers.
