Looking at two models, XPS2 and a 512. Are these mounted absolute or lower 1/3 co-witness on the factory mounts with "F" marked FSB w/Troy rear BUIS?

Those are both absolute.

If it has a QD mount, it is 1/3.
If it has a screw to hold it on, it is absolute

512 and XPS2 have screws. EXPS2 has a QD mount.

I'm a 1/3 person myself. I can't stand absolute. once I switched to 1/3, no looking back.

Love my EXPS. 1/3 is the way to go if you have a fixed front sight post.

1/3 (ie. EXPS) is great even if you don't have a front sight post. My folding sights completely disappear when flipped down, I don't even see the base.
