Yeah... and I hope those are stock photos from somewhere else... otherwise I would have been a bit hesitant to post them...

            It's a feature-less AK, what's the drama?

Why? His rifle is legally configured to CA firearm laws...

First off, how do you know how old he is, or when he legally obtained those mags/rebuilds?

Second, even if he isn't old enough to have bought them before the ban, he could be a LEO, and can buy "high caps" any day of the week, legally.

I get why people are weirded out, or feel the need to hide their legally obtained magazines, because of the draconian laws our beautiful state has bestowed upon us...but not everyone is out there breaking the law, and flaunting it online.

If your rifle is featureless you can use prebans in CA

I say to the OP test fire em and if all is well, just keep em aside

I don’t see the prob with posting if he owned them prior to the laws changing, took the pic out of state, etc. I’m just guna assume a member here for 7 years knows the law.

If it were me and I legally owned them I would just use them. If they break then worry about parts. After all what good are they if you’re afraid to use them.

Sorry I’m not a lot of help here.

can't they still confiscate hi-cap mags as "nuisances" ?

I found similar drum mags for even less, with no rebuild kit fee imposed. The thing is those are 75 round drums, and the OP wants the 100 round drums...

LOL, I thought this would come up....

I've owned the mags for well over 20 years.

And I'm sure the mags themselves are older than that. So...being that these things are older than some posters here on CGN, I'm worried about replacing parts if they break or wear out. One of the things these retard legislators don't understand is that detachable magazines on modern self-loading rifles are wear items(like brakes on a car) that require replacement after going so long.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying more, as they were $20 a pop when I bought them.

ETA: thanks for the links above.

That does NOT apply to geniune pre-ban "hi-caps."

That being said, unless a magazine has a glaring existence failure of not having been or manufactured before the year 2000 (say the mag is for a gun that didn't exist then, or the mag has a date stamp of after Jan 1st, 2000) then there is no real way that the state gov't has any way of finding out it's real or fake pre-ban or not, minus the magazine user self-incriminating himself during questioning.

Also, newer magazines are still legit, if they are "rebuilt" from older, geniune pre-bans, i.e. Magpul mag rebuilt from old mil-spec "hi-cap" AR magazine.
