    ALG Trigger (QMS Review)

Well, I have a factory PSA Mil-Spec trigger and was playing around with it thinking of how crappy it is. I decided to spend a few bucks without buying a Timney, ARgold, or Geissele trigger. I ended up going with an ALG QMS trigger (due to not needing it silver coated for any reason) and WOW what a difference. There is a bit of creep, but what creep there is is absolutely smooth. I have done trigger smoothing myself and they have NEVER ended up as nice as these did for just a few bucks more than a factory mil-spec.

If anyone is looking for a great trigger, put one of these in with JP yellow springs and it'll be a nice light, smooth trigger that doesn't break the bank. I have dry fired it a lot now but have yet to get out shooting with it. I'm going to be getting it out ASAP but its been so wet, the range hasn't been that great. I will be buying more of these, but my next trigger is going to be in a benchrest style AR and it'll be an ARgold trigger instead. Its by far the best 2 stage trigger on the market.

Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone know who was on the fence that these things are the best cheap trigger you can buy as far as I'm concerned. Anyone with questions about it, just ask here.

I replaced my crappy/gritty CMMG trigger with the ALG (ACT) and couldn't be happier.

My PSA trigger is actually pretty nice compared to many of the other standard triggers I've shot, but still nowhere near as nice as the ALG.

I too put a ALG ACT in both my AR's. very happy with them! Much better then mil spec.

Any problem with light hammer strikes? My ALG QMS seems to have a lighter trigger spring and I have had some failure to ignite. Re-loading the round caused it to fire but primer was indented but not real well. IMI 5.56 ammo.

Well, mine has JP yellow springs so we will see. I have a 2 week old at home and a toddler so I don't exactly have a lot of time on my one single day off currently

My PSA LPK trigger sucked balls compared to my Spike's Enhanced LPK. It was horribly gritty. I have a cotton wheel for my dremel and used Mothers mag & aluminum polish until it was mirror smooth. Now the trigger feels comparable to the Spike's... very smooth. The creep is hardly perceptible now that the sear surfaces are so smooth. I also noticed the hammer spring is ALOT lighter than the Spike's. For the money I am actually pretty happy with the deals PSA puts out.

Never had a problem with mine. Did you check to make sure your hammer spring was installed correctly? I only ask because when I built my 1st AR, I installed the spring backwards and I have known others who have done the same thing.

I did the same thing on my Danial Defense LPK trigger, I know i'm spoiled with My Geissele SSA-E, but the DD is still terrible, even though it's just for my can killer,It has to go soon. Maybe it's not "broken in", but right now my trunk gun Kel-Tec SU-16 trigger feels better.

I'll look into theses ALG set ups.
