    anchor-harvey, ever heard of them?

ive been in the market for a stripped lower so i can try my hand at building an ar. while researching, i came across a LGS that sold their own branded lowers so i asked them who forges them and anchor-harvey was the answer. my question to the knowledgable calgunners is, is anchor-harvey a reputable company with quality forgings? also, do they also forge for other companies? would be nice to know so i can guage quality as i have handled alot of different stripped lowers. any helpful info is appreciated

    I'm a little surprised you didn't google anchor-harvey.

They make RAW forgings, they've been in business for a while, and customers include Colt, Spikes, etc.

That said...there's NO way you can judge the quality of the lower based on who forged it...anchor-harvey simply supplies raw forgings to whomever does the machinging that gets you a finished lower.

Ask the lgs who does the machining and go from there.

My CMMG is A-H, everything fit, no issues if that helps. I'd just buy the least expensive one I could find, because it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference.

AH makes the A1 style uppers for Bushmaster/DPMS. Their forging mark is an A with a little lightning bolt through the left side.
