    Changing Calibers on an AR-15

    What is required.

    I have on order:

RRA CAR A4 Complete Rifle Kit, with Chrome Lined Barrel (5.56)
    Lauer Stripped Lower Receiver

I now have a little regret with not going bigger, maybee 6.5, 6.8, 7.62 or even .50.

What do I need to change?

    Thanks

Barrel, bolt and magazine (potentially). Some of the rounds work in standard AR mags.

The barrel and bolt change could be done as a complete upper. The lower doesn't care what round you use (as long as it's one of the ones that's compatible with the AR-15 magwell -- all the ones you listed are).

You should not regret your choice. Your first AR should be in 5.56, if not for anything else the ammo is a lot more expensive for the other calibers. Then you can add uppers in 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, .50 Beowulf, 7.62 x .39 or whatever strikes your fancy at a time when you've saved your pennies for it.
