    I believe they are supposed to unless you got one that was designed for a pistol cartridge like 9mm or 45ACP

        JP products has a silent captured spring they came out with. There is no spring noise if it bothers you that much. Off the top of my head it runs about $130.00. Its pretty smooth.

          I'm going to venture a guess and say no b/c my Spikes buffer does not rattle since its filled with tungsten powder.
