AK74 birdcage FH or Phantom FH?

Wouldn't a AK74 muzzle brake or birdcage be to small [.248] of a diameter for a 308?

For the first few rounds it would be. I think he means a 74 style break

Already have a Dinzag AK74 style brake. There's just too much flash obscurring my sight image. The gun is converted and mag locked.

I checked the PWS site and didn't find anything threaded in either 24x1.5 or 17x1. Can you refer me to one that is?

Doh, just realized it was a 308. I havent seen any in 17x1 sorry.

Okay, back to the original question.

I'm choosing between the AK FH in 24x1.5 or a Phantom FH in 17x1. As I said before I can get a thread adapter for 17x1 to 24x1.5 from Dinzag. Or I can just use the Phantom FH and not have to mess with an adapter. Just want to know which is more effective as an FH.

I've also looked at the Manticore Nighshroud Mkii for the 24x1.5 but the review I've seen online stated that it wasn't any more effective than the AK FH. Gabe Suarez on Warrior Talk also mentioned that the Phantom FH is very effective. That's my research so far. Just asking if anyone here as any real experience with either FH to comment.
