    LMT Defender

Just got a LMT Defender lower and decided to change out the grip to a BCM Gunfighter grip. When taking off the grip that came with the lower receiver I noticed that the very top two threads to the receiver were cross threaded but the rest of the threads remain very clean. I'm no engineer but is this something I can just overlook and assume that this will not cause problems?

If the grip screw can go in all the way up to the boogered threads, I think you're ok.

Me?...I'm oc enough that I'd run a tap up the entire length of thread to clean things up.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!
