    Lost AK part, part replacement?

I recently went on a backpacking trip with my new AK74 Saiga conversion. At some point the pin that holds the muzzle device fell out. Luckily I noticed before I lost my brake as well.

But now I am trying to hunt down and order the piece so this thing can be back at 100%... I am pretty sure this is the part, but will I have any fitting issues with this? And I am missing the cross pin as well, any idea what this is called?

I don't imagine you'll have fitment issues. The pins for the front sight are 3x13mm and are straight dowel pins(no taper). You can get everything you need from apex gun parts.

      Thanks guys!

I should say that I feel like I am probably missing the 'forward sight housing pin' as both the slots that go front/back on the sight post and side/side are both gone, and the space is completely empty. Is this what I need for the side/side pin: http://aa-ok.com/retainer-pin-set.html ?

Parts came today, both got my order wrong and I ordered the wrong parts.

Here is what I am after, for a Saiga IZ340:

The pin and spring that hold the muzzle brake in place:

And the pin behind this that goes left/right on the rifle to hold that pin/spring combo in place:

            Here is what I got:

Obviously no detent pin or spring. The Sight Block and Gas Block Retaining pins for the Bulgarian AK74 were not what I was after, they are way too small to fit in that open hole, they are for the bottom part of the gas block. And instead of sending me the Polish AKM Detent Pin and Spring, they sent me the AKM gas block retaining pins, which I didnt need in the first place.

Sent them an email but expect I will just eat the cost, though I still need/want these parts... Anyone know what the rear retaining pin that holds the detent pin and spring is called?

arg... I should learn not to post after 10pm

Sorry. I screwed you up there. Apex failed a little too, but mostly me. Their CS is great and I'm sure they'll get you the spring and detent. Give em a call.

The bigger issue is the "front sight plunger retainer pin" which apparently are as rare as hens teeth right now. K-var has them listed, but is out of stock. No idea if or when they'll get more. A 5/32" roll pin should work until a correct replacement can be found...or for the rest of your life if you're not too picky.
