Exactly. That's what I've been saying for a long time. People who think these are too much have no experience shooting big bore rifles.

Another chance to post a pic of my rifle:

If you have $1300 burning a hole in your pocket, send it out for some custom work...

Compulsive - is the trigger replacement the one from Wild west guns? There seem to be quite a few people who go with their trigger and one piece firing pin. I've been reading up a bunch on the marlinowners forum and leverguns.

Just got my scout scope in for my 1895XLRkt. Still haven't taken it to the range, trying to figure out if I want to before the barrel gets chopped.

XO just released a tri-railed foreend at shot, I don't think it will be making an appearance on my rifle though

Also, if you want to launch those fat slugs for distance, the skinner sights guy has started producing a ladder sight. If I was closer to a 1k range it might tempt me to buy an 1895CB.

If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

My buddy had a wild hair and bought one

and a S&W Trailboss as a compliment. Both are short barreled cannon with porting. I've fired each one, once, without hearing protection. You can say I learned my lesson about ever wanting porting on anything after that.

            Here is the ladder sight:

He also makes peep sights that mount on the rear of the receiver or in the dovetail on the barrel where the stock rear sight sits.
