    AR pistol build DONE!! :)

So I finally finished my AR pistol and went to BLM to test it. With all the horror story I heard about 7.5" barrel I decided to go with....a 7.5". Haha.

I went thinking I will have short strokes because it seems like that's what everyone is having problems with. I loaded up my pistol with one round and shot it. Bolt locked back, round this the target, gun didn't explode....I looked for brass but couldn't find it. It was stuck in the chamber. I had to poke it out.

Anyways, I didn't have any way of correcting the dwell so I moved the gas block 1/16" forward and tighten it. Shot it and it function flawless after! Anyways, here is the spec:

    TM 80% lower
    Nameless:
    Upper
    Barrel
PSA pistol buffer kit and LPK
    Quad rail handguard (forgot brand)
    YHM gas block
    JSEsurplus gas tube
    CMMG BCG

As you can tell, this was a build that I had parts laying around...anyways, here's the pic of it..

Nice! Just wondering, what do you think caused the failure during the first shot?

pretty sure it was a gas tuning issue since op stated after moving the block everything was fine.

            Just saw that afterwards lol.

So does that mean it was over-gassed? It wouldn't be an extractor related issue would it?

From the looks of the brass, it looked overgassed causing the rim to be stripped.

              I'm using a Stagarm comp that I

I'm using a Stagarm comp that I gutted the 1st and 2nd chamber which works better...the recoil felt likr a 22lr but the muzzle blast felt like a 50BMG and had a fireball as big as a M1A Abram tank muzzle..lol...
