I've noticed that several people seem to purchase many OLL's. I'm curious, is this in part due to the fear that these too will one day not be available to us any longer?

Stripped lowers are inexpensive and buying many at a time saves on the DROS fee. You can place an unlimited number of long guns on 1 DROS form. By having the lower, you have the gun and you can build it later at your leisure.
Some may be buying them for fear of more bans. However, there is nothing on the horizon.Expert firearms attorney: https://www.rwslaw.com/team/adam-j-richards/

Plus, if some ultra-cool-gotta-have-it-now upper comes out, you can just buy it and not have to worry about DROS.
