Buying many OLL's

I've noticed that several people seem to purchase many OLL's. I'm curious, is this in part due to the fear that these too will one day not be available to us any longer?

Stripped lowers are inexpensive and buying many at a time saves on the DROS fee. You can place an unlimited number of long guns on 1 DROS form. By having the lower, you have the gun and you can build it later at your leisure.

Some may be buying them for fear of more bans. However, there is nothing on the horizon.

The dros fee is generally around 20-25% of what a single receiver costs, buying more spreads out the costs over multiple units.

Yup. Lowers are cheap, relatively speaking. I think it makes sense to have a couple in storage for a "rainy day".

Plus, if some ultra-cool-gotta-have-it-now upper comes out, you can just buy it and not have to worry about DROS.
