    80% lower anodizing

    Hi all.
Ive searched around here but saw no reference to anyone who anodized 80% lowers.
I'm picking up a few more raw 80% lowers soon and Id like to have them anodized in what Nodak calls "XM gray" to match the A1 upper I have floating around.
Any takers? Or at least references?

Wondering about that too. Here's an old thread:

So, to ship it (Edit: finished) to somebody, you need to have somebody who is a FFL... Or do it yourself.

I guess, you could have the unfinished lower at a local shop to the exact color and then just live with bare metal elsewhere.

        Here is another thread:

I understand Greyish-Black is a good color match if you wanted to paint.

          Thanks for the link!
I just sent an email to
http://www.usanodizing.com to ask if they will work on an unfinished 80%.

I dont mind having bare metal on the inside, not one bit.

Anyone can anodize an 80%. Just find a local shop. Once it has been machined it has to be serialized to ship it as the receiver has to be an FFL and it gets logged into their book.

I have 3 there now, one for Colt grey and two regular black. VERY friendly and not afraid of these type of parts. They will gladly give you a receipt for your drop offs and they have a secure lock up. 4 day turn around for the stuff I have there now as they are busy. I am using the Arcadia shop. Ask for Tony or Rhonda.

We used these guys for a few of our lowers over the past year or so. They are a first rate operation. Definitely worth checking out. They also offer a couple of really exotic finishes that are supposed to be able to hold up to all kinds of nasty environments. I have seriously been thinking about having an upper and lower done in one of them.
