Ever broken an Eotech?

Has anyone every broken an Eotech? I hear they are durable, but was wondering how durable? Has anyone ever heard of one breaking? If so, how did it happen?

my eotech was awesome. the only problem i have ever seen was my deptartment rangemaster had one on a 40mm and it stopped working when we tried to turn it on. we replaced the batteries and it still didnt work. we took it off the weapon then put it right back on ( i dont know why but this seemed like a solution) and it worked again. go figure. must have been some sort of fluke. eotechs are great

So far Eotech is the only optic that stood up to my .50 Beowulf. At this point i have about 350 rounds on it. The Beowulf killed a Kobra red dot in about 150 rounds and a PSOP scope in about 200 rounds.

I hunted with an EOTech mounted rifle and it took quite a beating. I'm talking about dropped on rocks and beat around. Still working and holding zero.

I have about 350 rounds on the Eotech and so far so good. The rifle has more than 700 rounds; I do shoot with irons sometimes, especially when the optics take a dump.

Eotech sends out Eotechs with smashed windows to retails to prove that the reticle is still visible with an obstructed/cracked window.

Funny you ask that, my EOTech is broken. The rubber O rings that cover the metal contacts at the end of the battery cap came loose. Since there is no pressure on the battery, there is no contact. It seems to be an easy replacement since the cap only costs $10 but EOTech doesn't respond to any of my emails and the lady who is in charge of parts doesn't pick up the phone, I even emailed from my .Gov addy but still no EOTech love.

Odd, my Beowulf hardly kicks. Any scope will pretty much work with mine.

Close to probably 3k rounds through my M4gery with a first gen 551; haven't changed the batteries yet.

1100 hours if you use Lithum AA. Alkaline only last 600hr. On typical So Cal day, you will need to adjust to brightest setting to be able to see the dot, that means your battery life will drop to 15% of above number.
