Looks great! Was the IWD buttstock to replace the thumbhole stock or am I thinking of a different Chinese AK here?

Here are some pictures! Everything on the rifle is made in china by Norinco

Furniture is (Polytech/IWD-buttstock finished myself) matches pretty well imo.
          Nice rifle.

*cough* not compliant with Federal laws [18 USC 922(r)] *cough*

The Norinco MAK-91 was imported after Fed 922r went into effect and needs to comply with it.

The maglock complies with CA state laws, but does not comply with Federal laws/regulations.

The following features installed on an imported semi-auto centerfire rifle requires Fed 922r compliance:
            • The use a large capacity (11+ round) magazine.
            • A pistol grip.
            • A folding/extending stock.
            • A flash suppressor and/or threaded barrel.
            • A bayonet/bayonet lug.

To be imported in the first place, it has to be 922r compliant I believe. UNLESS: it was in the 'original sporting configuration' with the thumbhole stock and by changing that you triggered it. 922r is Federal regulation, not CA.
