If i were you I would order one online. Snellings' Firearms will do the transfer and dros for only $50. You could find someone that has them but your still going to have to wait ten days and pay for taxes, which should be more than the $25 transfer fee.

Ahhhh we weren't going to mention names anymore of him in the public forum.

Yes I would recommend him. I would have purchased one and transfered it through him but I can't make it it there on the days he is open At least not until May..

How would I go about ordering one online, Do I contact the FFL first or should I order it first. I know they are sold out everywhere.... And do they come with the 10 round mags yet? or would I have to get the mags modified?

You should contact the FFL to ensure they will accept the shipment. The GSG-5 10 round magazines aren't out yet, with that in mind you would have to order the gun from someone who has disassembled the magazine or modified it to 10 rounds. Several vendors are selling the GSG's on here ...I only know of (at this time and date) www.suchar-enterprises.com who is shipping the gun with a already modified 10 round magazine. The only downside of ordering through them is I believe you are stuck paying sales tax..

haha no worries. His name was being mentioned everywhere on the forums for a while and he didn't want all the public attention. He did ask nicely too No worries though as anyone can do a simple search and pull up his info from previous post.

Try River City Gun Exchange in South Sac. They had a few come in at $499, and are expecting a second batch soon (I'm on the waiting list). The 10 rounders will be available within 30 days.

I checked it out in person today and it was pretty disappointing. Plastic receiver and somewhat cheap looking parts. I really don't think it's worth even $500.

If you order the firearm from a retailer, the delivering FFL should be charging sales tax anyway. Also, you are supposed to be claiming the firearm as use tax at the end of the year even if you don't have to pay "sales tax" so why not have the FFL collect it and not worry about it? Oh because people don't want to pay the taxes that are actually required and they want a dealer to take that risk for them in an audit.

Just wait and see what happens when your favorite FFL doesn't get shut down by the DOJ, but by the BOE for failure to collect thousands of dollars of sales tax. Be sure to go offer to help him pay it all when you hear about it.

Anyway, I digress. I have 8 of them on order and about 2 spoken so far. I expect them to be in 2-4 weeks hopefully, but you never know.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

Not to side track, but are you getting extra magazines as well? If so, would you be modding them for 10 rounds?

Do you happen to have any documents or websites that state the fact that out of state purchases require the FFL to charge sales tax when transferring a firearm?
