    M-44 Carbine Build...

I really want to build an M-44 Carbine... Any idea where I should start my search? Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

      Umm. . .

You have to start with an Off-List receiver. I think that Sarco might have them. Then you will need to get a parts kit. Those are going to be hard to find.

Big-5 had them for $75 bucks a week or two ago, or are you going to build from scratch?

          Did you mean M4 carbine M4 = AR15 w/16" barrel. M44 Carbine = M91/30 Russian Mosin Nagant bolt action rifle with a 18" barrel...circa 1940ish?

HAHA... I mean M44 Carbine. WW2 rifles are by far my favorite. It seems like its gunna be to big of a hassle so I guess I will just buy one. Maybe get a new wood kit for it so it looks nice or something.

I've shot a few mousers and they are FUN!!!, always great to shoot from a piece of history. Just keep it original, I think people ruin the Nagants by replacing the wooden stock with synthetic.

I would never replace the wood for synthetic, but depending on the condition of the wood I might get a new wood kit for it.
