What type of mag lock is it?Originally posted by NorCalK9.comHecka funny all my friends with AR's call them "clips" but I call them bullet holder things lolOriginally posted by MikeRSo suck it HK, If I wanted an $800 pistol with a crap trigger I would just go buy 2 Glocks. -
You will need to purchase a new mag release and pin. Grind off one side of arsenal pin, then punch it the rest of the way through. Install new mag release (tricky) and make sure its featureless and enjoy.

akbuilder.com has the mag release with the spring and the rivetFS/FT HI-POINT 9MM CARBINE 995TS http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1269230Comment

This, I'd drill out the rivet/pin and do this ^^^. I had to do something similar on my Saiga when I went featureless because the mag release lever was cut off before I bought it since it originally came with a thumbhole stock.
k-var also sells the parts, and when I did this I got a kit that also included what is supposed to be a temporary replacement for the rivet that screws on. I've found it works just fine permanently though, and have shot 2000 rounds with it that way with no issues.Comment

Had to buy the mag release and spring from Brownells, then the pivot pin from AK builder. Now I'm just trying to read up on the install because I keep hearing what a pain it is.Comment
