    Scope Mount for AMD65

I want a side rail scope mount for an AMD65.
    Do they make these?

Also, I want to put a Russian triangle folder on it. Will an adapter be needed for me to do this (I am not familiar with the AMD receiver or folder though I am aware they both fold in the same general direction).

I'm pretty sure in order to change the stock on an AMD you need to replace or modify the rear trunnion.

I know, it's so good looking.
I love me a nice Ak with a triangle folder and scope.

          This.

Keep in mind its going to have to be pinned also in CA. You could fab something up like I had SGgunguy24 do for mine. Mount the stock to a plate, then drill/tap the existing trunion and screw directly into it.

Mine is mounted on an ACE folder, hence the extra block.

You'll need to replace the rear trunnion, fill in some holes and cut some new ones. The front latch will suck to layout and install. The front trunnion needs to be drilled for the latch pin. Also if you go,with a side rail you won't be able to fold the stock with the optic in place. I'd go with a TWS rail system, that seems to be the one everybody is copying now(which means the best out there).

I know, the trunion from hell. And you originally told me to attack it with a hand drill.

I think you wanted me to put a hole through my hand.

Wow, that is a beautiful build. I love the FS GB combo. Great job.

So do you think the Ak in the picture is an AMD kit on a railed receiver w/ a triangle folder?

its actually a Draco that has been "carbinized", waiting for some cash to put in for a stamp.

Sure looks like it though on that AMD. IIRC they don't normally have a side rail, and have a completely different trunion. Unless you are building the rifle, its not a easy conversion over to what that picture shows.
