What rifles are legal to use to hunt varmints and/or predators in CA?

Can I use my OLL AR's to hunt predators (yotes, mainly) and varmints in CA? I'm going to be going and getting my hunting license.

This is something you want to research in the fish and game regulations. I don't know off hand if you are limited to 5 round mags or not but I'm sure Fish and game regs will tell you what you can and cannot do as far as magazine capacity goes. If you are going to get your hunting license, you should have seen something about this in the hunter safety class. If not, fish and game regs are the first places I'd look.

Here are the regulations for hunting mammals. Non-game animals (coyotes and varmints) start around page 43 or so.
