Choices on new bolt carrier group

I once read a section that outlined the specs on BCG's and the pinning of each system , but I can't find it now.Does anyone know where I can find it? Being my first purchase any advise on what brands are good would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't remember reading such a list, but stick to the bigger/quality brands and you should be fine (Bushmaster, RRA, Armalite, etc.).

There is a marginal weight/strength advantage (slower cycling/more reliability) with the M16 style carrier so I've heard, and Colt set precedent by including them with their new rifles (ATF said it was a no-no before).

I bought one from DPMS around two months ago and its Flawless and runs great through my Rock River upper... they are selling around $120 for the Bolt Carrier Group, Some people don't like DPMS but I have had nothing but good experiences w/ their products and customer service and they ship out pretty fast

        Here is a good thread.

Bushmaster, DPMS and RRA are NOT good to go.
You can run a non-staked carrier flawlessly, but over time the key will shoot loose and you will leak gas.

Get a Colt, LMT, or BCM. (BCM is the best bet, they sell a complete BCG with all reliability upgrades for under $140)
Bravo Company USA, Inc is your source for the highest quality parts, & tactical accessories for your AR-15, M16, M4 Carbine
