You wasted your 10 day wait! The whole purpose of the 10 day wait is to goad as much ammo as your budget allows! Dive a bitto BLM land and shoot the steel stuff, the money will be about the same.

Locally in San Diego, Parallax Tactical has the cheapest lead I've found by about a $1 at $5/20 Tula. You can shoot steel CASE (Tula) at Discount Gun Mart and P2K.

Last time I went to DGM, they told me that no magnetic ammunition is allowed. That's why I'm trying to find brass ammunition. If they allow Tula, then I will definitely go buy that.

And yeah, I know, I'm stupid to have wasted the 10-day jail time...but work had me super busy.

Fiocchi 7.62X39 is brass cased, non-magnetic, non-corrosive. At around $10 a box its a good deal, especially if you reload. Good stuff.

Sellier and Bellot (Czech), Prvi Partizan (Serbian, modern M67) and Fiocchi (US made with Italian components) can often be had fairly cheaply - $12-$15 for 20 rounds is pretty common. The cases are reloadable, primers are non-corrosive.

The big three make 7.62x39 mm ammo as well (Rem/Win/Fed). It will run $15 at the low end and $25 for hunting grade soft points at the higher end.

Just picked up another 400rds of Yugo import (non-magnetic) at the Glendale gun show yesterday. Plenty to be had in boxes of 200 @ $60ea (including sales tax, roughly $0.33 per round). I've been shooting this stuff for months with no misfires and really don't care about the corrosive primers since I'm pretty religious about cleaning after a shoot. Same guy goes to all the Crossroads shows as well.

Laws against murder and attempted murder should have been the only gun control laws ever needed in America...

At discount gun mart, the only steel case they allow are 7.62. They are going to check if the ammo is magnetic, but they are only concerned with steel core, which wolf and Tula are not. So once they see it is magnetic, they will cut the bullet to verify it is not steel core. You should be good to go. Keep that bullet for the next time you go to the range so you don't have to sacrifice any more.
