Where can you get a ca leagal sks.The few Ive seen on the net wont deal with cali folk.

Best bet is to go to your local gun shop most likely. The issue is that many SKS pattern rifles being sold these days (ie, the Yugos) have grenade launcher setups on the muzzle, which in CA is a no-no that has to be either modified out of spec or removed all together from the rifle.

Unless you have a C&R 03 FFL, just go shop at your local gun store or pawn shop.

try J&G Sales. They have the m59/66 in three conditions from shooter's grade, very good, and excellent. I havent bought one from them yet but i asked about it and they said they will remove the GL for us PRK guys for an additional $35 (GL removal isnt mentioned on their website but you have to inquire about it when you order). I like J&G's prices but be careful about what they say over the phone. I asked them to hold off sending a handgun to my FFL for 30 days because of the California one gun per month rule and they sent it right to him right away anyway, after promising to hold it for 2 months. Could have been a mixup, bad customer service or they simply forgot, I don't know but I know have to pay a storage fee now.
