I've never seen that model here in the U.S. At £45 it is most likely going to be an entry level air rifle, but it sounds like that's what you are looking for. Make sure the telescope sight is one designed for an air rifle. They use a different type that is designed for the particular recoil characteristics of air guns. Scopes designed for regular firearms sometimes won't hold up on an air gun. It is also a good idea to leave the scope off while you are learning to shoot. It's best to learn the basics with iron sights and then move up to a scope if you prefer.

All of the reviews of the B3-F that I could find online were from retailers web sites. So they had nothing but praise for the rifle. You might want to search on an air gun forum to get less biased review.

Well, At 10 1/2 foot pounds, it ain't too bad, but why not go for the legal limit of 12 ft/lbs for a little more money? The B4 or a BSA will run about 5 to 15 GBP more, but they are at the 12 ft/lbs limit. Just a thought.

Don't forget to post pictures of your new rifle when you get it.

Those are Chinese made spring piston airguns. Here in the US, the .177 version can be had for about $20 new. I bought one from AJ Tool in Long Beach several months ago. This gets fired in my back yard much more than any of my real firearms.

Pros:Inexpensive, generally decent shooters, feel like a real rifle-all wood and steel.

Cons: Roughly constructed, no safety, questionable anti-beartrap safety(ALWAYS securely hold the lever with one hand while loading the pellet or RISK LOSING SOME SKIN IF NOT A FINGER!), usually full of oil, iron sights are a bit crude.

These guns are great for tweaking. In the US, aftermarket spring/seal kits can be found inexpensively. Those upgrades, and some additional tweaking can add as much as 100fps. The .22 is a harder hitter than the .177, even though the pellet is slower. Lots of fun for plinking soda cans in the yard without bothering anybody.
