    Lower receiver purchase?

I live in the Area of sacramento, does anyone know of a shop that will sell me a lower receiver? Many places I have called will not sell them.
And; I was thinking about purchasing a lower receiver that has already been assembled (cal legal), but how hard would it be to assemble it myself, I would be installing either a bullet mag or prince 50 kit?

I dont know where to get them in that area but you can easily put them together. Google it and you will get instructions on how to assemble the lower.

Call these guys. They will ship a stripped lower to an FFL in your area. There are several links to assembling a lower. I will look for a good one I saw recently and post again.
Check to see which of their lowers are OLL. Those sundevils are REAL NICE!

Well it's not finding a site that will sell a lower, it is finding a FFL willing to accept the order...

Sounds like you are gonna have to go on a road trip to come to the Bay Area. Dublin Gun & Knives has Essential Arms lowers for $176 OTD. Just ask for the cash discount. Or you can go to Irvington Arms for more of a selection. Not sure of their prices. Call them up and ask. Good luck on your search.

There's a guy in Sac that will transfer OLLs and may have a limited selection on hand as well. I can't for the life of me remember his name right now tough...must be a case of oldtimer's disease setting in. I hate it when that happens !

I'm sure someone will chime in with some contact info soon.
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...

I got a quote of $204.44 from Irvington for either Stag or CMMG OLL's out the door. I didn't ask about LEO/Mil/cash discounts...

I know Olde West here in Redding will sell OLL's if you feel like making a road trip north instead south. Just an idea.

Thanks everyone, I was looking for a closer place, but it does not matter, owning a legal AR is worth a drive!

                          question?

I am going to leave my state and live in California very very soon...I can pick up OLLs for $120...OTD same day, no waiting.

Wonder if it would be worth it to grab several the day I leave?

LOL nice Jax, but FYI; you will need to get them transferred to the person who purchases it to be legal hear in California, and that means finding a FFL. And if an FFL is willing to do the transfer, then they also, in my experience and others, sell lowers... However, you will be getting them cheap, but us Californians will have to pay transfer fees, making your OLLs the most expensive on the market here. Just helping to watch your wallet/back! but nice thought!
I have been informed of one that will do it for me, now time to pick one out and order it!
Will he be able to order it? Or do i have to set everything up? In other words how to I get the OLL now?

Yes, thanx. I understood it would need to go through an FFL, but the cost that you were talking about for the lower was unreal. I wish I had a million dollars..I would sell lowers at normal cost and not rape californians wallets.....$210.00 for a stag + DROS/ffl fee + TAX..>>>>OMG!

I hear (on these boards) that there are good guys selling them for proper amounts...that is good to hear. I canunderstand making a profit, and feel an FFL needs to make money...its his license that cost money.

Anyone know if there is a "good" reasonable AR15 seller in the Ventura area?
