Could there be a problem?

I got a M&P sport yesterday and I this could be an issue.

OK so I took her apart and cleaned and lubed her, but I think there may be something wrong with my bolt. I noticed on some videos I watched on lubing the BCG that their bolt moved easily and mine is really tight. Like I had trouble getting it back in after lubing it with oil. The gas rings are really loose and protrude around the bolt. Is that normal? Should I just put some rounds through it and see if she loosens up? The wife and I are going to try to get to Iron Sights tonight so I can try out the gun.

Any info on this would be great.

I hope so, I did notice that alot of things are alot tighter then I thought they would be.

It's a new gun and things will be tight until you shoot some number of rounds through it. Keep the bolt and carrier lubed and you shouldn't have any trouble.

As stated before... a new gun requires a bit of time to "break in." tolerances are just tight. Tolerances will slightly loosen as the gun is shot.

Normal for a new gun. Don't worry, shoot and be happy.

We got lazy and didn't want to drive an hour to the range so I didn't get to shoot today. Now I have over 400 rounds sitting her laughing at me from the other side of my desk
