Custom Engraved Mauser Question

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of buying a mauser from someone and want to know if it's worth any money. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

This is what I've gathered. I don't have any pics sorry.

Semi-Octagon Barrel
Fully engraved
Stamped on top of barrel: Imported by Jos A Singer Los Angeles CA, Made in Germany
It has a k98 action
30-06

No other information stamped.
I just don't know what it's worth. I've tried to search for the importing company but nothing on the web. I've even tried searching for similar engravings but wasn't able to find anything.

With that limited info there is no way to really tell. If it's marked "Made in Germany" that indicated it was imported after 1968. Probably a decent shooter but not really worth any real $$$ as post war M98 sporters were very common.

Probably around $300
