Convince me not to get a JP rifle!

I've been researching many a rifles, trying to find "the best" all around ar for under $3000.

I cannot find one negative thing about the rifles or even the company itself, other than the price.

Please help my bank account and suggest a cheaper alternative! I would appreciate any current or former JP owners who can chime in.

I have no first hand experience with JP, but hear nothing but good about them. I'm sure Stan will chime in and give you some info on those rifles as well as that picture.

I can't help you then.. un-convince you that is! For those purposes, I'd get a JP too!

I run Noveske SS and have been very happy with them. Actually, I think there are so many great AR makers now that it's hard to pick a bad one. I went with Noveske solely for the barrel and then chose my other parts (handguard, upper receiver, stock, etc).

Well...I currently am down to three JP upper based builds. I do not own any of them that are pictured above anymore. Well...except for Amber....I still "own" her!

If you want innovation. Very high quality. 2nd to none customer service. And outstanding accuracy....I highly recommended JP.

If you want a dressed up AR platform...buy anything else.

The current three I own are JP uppers with billet lowers. I like something a bit different from the "norm". So I use lowers that offer a bit more then a standard forged lower.
Two of my builds use Seekins ambi-lowers and the third has a C3 Defense lower. Two of them have AR Gold triggers while the other has a Timney.
Nothing wrong with JP lowers and their triggers are very nice. I just like being different.

One thing worth noting...JP was one of the first MFG.ers to ship complete AR's into CA. in the early days of the OLL movement. John Paul was never anti-Calif.

For myself I will probably never own another brand of AR unless something far more innovating comes out. Once I move from Calif. (soon I hope if plans go as the should) I will have them (JP) build me a 9mm SBR.

You will not be disappointed if you buy one.

PS...those are not Lego's...they are "mice" for the cat. And the picture was not taken for internet approval, but for my personal "use". Those that have been to our home know we have LOTS of pictures of Amber (and myself together) around the house. If personal items in the background offend....don't look.
