I believe that the Evan's Gunsmithing rifles are still approved for sale by the DOJ. If i understand correctly, because of the approval, you could easily buy one of those and then convert it to bullet-button or mag-lock. You'd have a real colt, listed as an AW to boot, with an approval letter from the DOJ, and still be legal. Imagine that!
I guess that is one thing we can thank Iggy for.....
