this is not a case of ****ty ammo, this is a case of operator error.
i never thought i was dum enough to shoot the wrong ammo in my gun.. until it happend lol

    just no stopping the AK.

Pretty smart comment. So brass is stronger than steel. Hmmmmm...... (Next time, hone in a little more on what you are looking at and do a little studying up on your metallurgy. )

How the **** did you accidentally load a .223 into your AK? I'm holding my tongue on this (so to speak), but I think you need to pay more attention to what you're doing when it involves a firearm. We all make mistakes but that's a bad one.

AK-47~ So awesome a ruptured 223 round does nothing to it.

Brass would've done the exact same thing if not worse in this scenario

I'm surprised the .223 would seat well enough in the chamber that the firing pin could hit dead center of the primer, good thing you were shooting the low-power variety and chamber pressure was near non-existent. The reason it wouldn't extract is because of the smaller rim, not because the metal was stuck in the highly tapered chamber. BTW: hope you have a chrome-lined chamber because that's probably fire scored a bit otherwise, though I guess maybe you AK guys don't care.
