My current build is only gonna have iron sights. Go with a carry handle or Matech?

If iron sights was all I was going to use, I would go with some fixed sights from Troy. Another option if you want a carry handle-like set up, look into the DD 1.5 or LMT fixed rear sight( similar features with less bulk).

LMT or cut down carry handle. If you don't need it to fold no reason to pay extra. Troy sights don't have elevation.Comment

If only iron sights, carry handle. Most durable of all of them. Proven system. Marines hit 500M all day long with them. Second choice LMT.Comment

Do a google search on revised improved battle sight zero if you are unfamiliar with it. Requires you to do an easy adjustment modification to the elevation wheel on your carry handle or LMT cut down carry handle rear sight. Only requires an allen wrench. My vote is carry handle or LMT rear if you don't need folders. If you need a folding rear, KAC 200-600 are my favs. The LMT cut down rear would allow you to easily mount a cowitnessed red dot in the future if you desire, but is identical to the carry handle in function and adjustability. Good on you for wanting to shoot iron sights.Comment

For cost, simplicity and durability, I would go with a carry handle. BUIS really good when combined with a red dot but hardly worth it as a stand alone. LMT makes a nice fixed sight but I would just go with the cheaper carry handle and it has two very solid mounting points.
