    Aimpoint PRO question

Bought this Aimpoint Pro recently and noticed the different color of the bracket. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this situation?
    Thanks!

    that means it is fake.

Since I feel bad for you having been duped if you send it to me (for proper disposal and notification to aimpoint of course) I will send you a genuine Barska red dot for your trouble.

I read that it results in a loss of accuracy. something to do with the science. There is only so much I can diagnose over the net, so send it to me.

and on a serious note, I don't think it matters one bit. in the pic it looks like its just the lighting.

So you're the lucky guy this week

Looks like a good stupid excuse to get a LaRue LT150.

it looks like the anodizing took a little differently on that part, I don't think its going to hurt the performance.

I didn't even look @ my PRO for more than a minute when it arrived before I taped it up and painted it.

Send it to me, I'll replace it with a Primary Arms 30mm high mount. It's definitely real and much lighter than that stupid QRP2 mount.

Here is mine, not so sure it is a radically different color but I do see shades of different blacks and grays there.

Different lots for the different parts. Normal. Enjoy the sight.

My guess is that the anodizing wasn't done correctly. I'm assuming the mount is aluminum, but here at my work, when we get a bad batch of anodized parts, theyll turn purple when exposed to light. I wouldn't worry about it too much, except for the asthetics.

FWIW, all of my guns, when I photograph them under flash, the metal never looks how it looks in real life. My Garand metal looks all silver/gray in photos but in real life, it looks much more like just blued metal.
