Thinking of thinning the herd. Not sure what's this is worth. 9/10 condition. Curious of the value. NorCal btw.

Last I heard, Russians were going for $900 - $1,300 unless it's something really unusual. Chinese Spikers have held steady at $500-$600 for years, the Russians are certainly rarer and more collectible. Ammo is the challenge now that the Russian tidal wave of 7.62x39 has ceased. Brass cased stuff is costly.

I think you've made an error Red9, Russian SKS45 production ended in 1958
That's about right Cap, even for Kali the prices are more stable, not as spiked as they were previously. Since 2021-2022 I've moved 17 SKS rifles including a Russian, a Romanian and 2 Albanians, (the Euro guns went at a premium, which they should considering the rarity of some), but they were mostly Chinese dupes, mismatched or parts built. Within the last 18 months I picked up two '51 Tulas (as issued & light refurb) and a KSI Hunter Paratrooper, all well below local market.
I will add that Paratrooper models have fallen in their general price, formally near Russian money (I think the ammo deal impacted them more). Certain commercial short rifle types are still holding strong, like the Cowboys Companion with original T89 mount and RedStar scope. As a side note, there have been Nam captured 16.5" AK mag fed short bayo rifles from the '70s documented, so Paratrooper length guns COULD conceivably be considered copies of those. and fall into C&R if in the right serial range . Probably $800-$1,000, for a faster sale anything below $800 should sell fairly quickly.

Well, once Ukraine falls to Russia in the next few weeks, and must surrender all their arms, we may see some surplus Russian SKSes entering the United States by way of Serbia again. CAI is just waiting in the wings with bated breath, ready to assist.

              Heh heh... run with it.

I heard it was more like fifty bucks.

Nice! I picked up a Chinese one made with Russian tooling back in 2012. Best 300 bucks I ever spent. My oldest really wants it, but so does his little brother…
