    Mini-14 Optics

I just picked up a Ruger Mini-14. It came with an ADCO electronic sight, but the sight is shot. Anybody out there have a recommendation for a reasonably priced, decent quality optic? Either scope or electronic. Only those who have actually used the optic on a mini, please.

I have a Leupold VX-I on my Mini 14, runs about $220 retail. I shoots a decent group, but I just got the Accu-Strut, need to take it back out to the range.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by thoes who have not got it.

I have had the Leupold, VX-I 2x7 also, and have
the Simmons Diamond Pro 1.5 x5 Shot gun scope for
3 gun on mine. Both are good choices,
Just got the Millet DMS-1, getting ready to mount that on on my OLL build.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

I use an old steel Weaver 1.5 to 5X with a post reticle. Very forgiving eye relief, large field of view and the overall size is right for a small carbine. I use quick detach weaver rings on a Weigand base and have a Williams adjustable peep as a back up.
